Hello Everyone I joined this forum as part of my research into a DIY Antelope hunt for my brother and myself. We live in AZ and decided two years ago that we need to go hunt antelope in Wyoming. With that we now have two preference points. We wanted to wait until we have a few more however, my little brother decided to join the army when he graduates high school in may of 2018. Therefore, we decided we better go for it this year to ensure he's able to get the time off. With that, I'm asking for help on which units will give us high odds of getting drawn with access to public land that holds antelopes. Please know I'm not asking for any honey holes or secret spots. We will put in the work we just need assistance on where to put in for. We would prefer the southern part of the state as we will be driving from AZ. I would also like to mention that my little brother also has two preference points for deer as well. So we would love a antelope hunt that corresponds with a deer hunt. However, we're doing this trip to go antelope hunting as we never have before and we hunt mule deer every year. So antelope hunting is our priority and a mule deer hunt would just be an additional benefit. Any info you could share would be much appreciated. Thank you all for reading

Also check out the WIA and HMA programs. There are units that can be draw with 2 points that may not have a ton of public, but have good access through these programs.

Agree with that. If you do a little research you should be able to find some good options. I would look at the units around Kaycee area. Typically there is a strong correlation between easy to draw and no/little public land. Best of luck!
