I am taking my daughter on her first western hunt this fall. She is 15 and has a heart problem so her mom was pretty anxious about me taking her out west. To ease her mind some I decided on area 70 , mom is coming with and we’ll get an Airbnb in Casper. I’ve researched the area to the best of my ability, but feel like I would be a fool if I don’t throw it out here for advice. Just looking to find some antelope for her to put a tag on, not looking for a trophy. I am really excited for her and looking forward to the trip. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go a day and a half early and learn every inch of the unit, and make sure you got all the WIHA marked on a map, downloaded to a phone, or whatever your using for a map.
Good luck and have fun!

Area 70 is mostly private. I'd contact the Casper G&F office and ask them what ranchers allow antelope hunting. Mentioning your daughter's condition would be a big help. I have always found the Casper G&F folks to be helpful.
