My brother and I are looking to cash in 5 points and kill our first Wyoming antelopes next season. We would like to do archery hunts. My understanding is that season opens August 15th in most parts of Wyoming and we actually want to hunt over Labor Day weekend. Early research indicates unit 32 might be a solid pick. A 70" buck or larger would make us happy with the bow, so is 32 a good unit for this? Also, am I correct that season opens on August 15th? And will Labor Day still produce a good hunt? Thanks in advance!

Personally I think you have better options than 32 with 5 points. Labor day weekend would be a good time, seen some prerut activity yesterday while out and about. If you were to wait till 2020 then the holiday weekend would land around the 7th, and that would get you closer to the rut.

Do you plan on putting in for the special draw or the regular draw? I personally would spend the extra money on the special tag and try for a "better unit." If you're dead set on going next year, I'd probably put in for a unit that was a 100% draw with < 5 points (or maybe even 100% at 4 points) in 2018 to help ensure point creep won't catch up with you. Good luck.

Pretty good areas besides 32 for those PP but wait to decide til after the spring numbers come out next year.
We have a bone chilling , heavy snow prediction for winter. Winterkill could be an issue in some parts of the state.
