Anyone know about outlaw campground, sw of Kaycee?? Looking into that, in unit 21, looks like lots of BLM around there and sounds like good fishing??

KCRV grounds in Kaycee, 307-738-2233. You'll have to call and get prices, but they have cabins that are pretty cheap. Well maybe not during hunting season, lol!

We are bringing a tent, can't you camp at outlaw? Do you need reservations?
Trying to find a phone number. Sounds like awesome fishing

I think it's on BLM ground, and its kind of a first come first serve. Might want to call the local warden and all what his thoughts are. Good goat hunting around there though.

I haven't stayed there, but its a pretty cool place just to visit. Those big red canyons, rocks, and caves are pretty cool. Lots of wild west type history stuff. I tried the middle fork of the powder river a couple times. Skunked once, a couple the second time, but I am sure it is better than that. Sometimes my skills aren't that great. Bring waders, though. Where I was the shore was a little limited by the canyon, and that water is bleeping cold even late in the summer. It can be pretty fast, too. I tried tennis shoe wading and I don't recommend that.

Thanks! The powder River campground on Hazelton Rd looks like a cool spot to. From there towards outlaw looks good. Might be a good spot for a long hike! Could be good deer country!
