Hello Forum-
Quick update on our antelope hunt this year in unit 113. I asked several forum members for advice on this area and got great responses as usual and I wanted to thank all of you (you know who you are). We hunted unit 113 in mid October and the advice/warnings about tough public access were correct. The GPS and onX maps were indispensable to thread the needle finding public land. But there wasn't too much to be had. There is a large piece of BLM that is accessible by a good hike, but otherwise public land is limited. This was also the first time antelope hunting in Wyoming that I ran into other hunters. However, the guys we talked to were very helpful and willing to share information. We filled our tags, but not without some difficulty. I settled on a mature buck with decent mass, not a lot of length and with the prongs sheered off during the rut. 3 out of 4 antelope we tagged had damaged or missing prongs. Overall, it was great to be in Wyoming again and we filled our freezers, so absolutely no complaints. Hope everyone is having or had a great season.
