I think 105 is limited draw depending on the season as well could be wrong? Most of antelope unit 80 is just that antelope land, did find some deer away from the hills but nothing worth taking. The one local I talked to patrols a big private land ranch that is mainly mule deer country. Also wasn't really looking for deer so might have been more around if we would have just looked. Yes we got 4 bucks and 2 does. Pics are posted in the antelope sec. For points needed I believe max is what you would need. We did see one really good buck I would guess 170's. really dumb deer drove by him bedded 15 yards of the two track then walked past him as well. He just sat there. Must have knew I didn't have a tag
I think they know, as I seen 2 80" antelope in that very same unit late into season...of course I did not have an antelope tag for here! Easily 100 yards from me, which is super close for late September hunted antelope.
I am fairly certain (without looking it up) most of those units around Cody in F are general until Nov, thats when the rut gets really close and the weather drives the deer out of the high ground.

Here's the poop on the units that are being discussed for deer. 105 is under the General License for residents and the Region F license for NRs from 10/1-10/31 for antlered deer on the NF. Then the tag is good from 11/1-11/5 for any deer off the NR, and then for antlerless from 11/6-11/30 off the NF. There is a LE tag Type 1 and it's good for any deer in units 105, 106, and 109 (total of 50 tags issued in 2013) with a season of 11/1-11/15. That tag took the max of 7PPs in 2013 and only 3 tags were issued for the regular draw with a 25% chance of drawing and 3 tags in the special draw with a 42.86% draw. Therefore, unless you have max PPs unit 109 is pretty much out of the running altogether and also the only way you'll hunt unit 105 is with the Regional F tag during October. PS: More and more bears are coming right down along the Shoshone River lower areas now as their numbers increase, so you need to be on guard anywhere up in that country nowadays. Hope that helps!!!

Thanks everyone! Sounds like I might have to look into something else, not sure I want to run into one of them, I wasn't a wrestler. Lol!! I hope they get that grizzly hunt going like there talking, but I'm sure it will take a lot of time and luck to get that through! Anyone heard any news recently on that?

The Feds want to delist grizzlies up there and already tried to a year ago. Along came a bunch of huggers and they found a judge that told the Feds to do more studies on the whitebark pinecone trees since in some places the bears eat a lot of those pinecones. They'll eventually be delisted and the states will manage them just like they do the wolves now, including some limited hunting. IMHO the latter will be years in coming to fruition and for NRs the cost will be very high.
I suppose it will take one of those huggers to get mauled and maybe they will think about, but I doubt it!! Not sure what year it was but in Alaska when there wasn't a good salmon run they got hungry and were all over town looking for food,there were a few more attacks than usual. Does anyone recal the Russia attacks the bears came through town and started eating people everyone had to stay indoors until most of them were killed, give it time it will happen here if they don't get on it! And I would assume there just a tad bit more pissy when there hungry towards humans than wolves.

I live in Cody, moved here 2 years ago, so I know the feeling of having a few points, and found out I was going to lose them when i became a resident. I went for a limited draw unit located with in region F. The advice I can give after living here is this. The NR points its takes on a limited unit isnt always from the number of deer and if there are grizzlies or not. There are some limited draw areas around here that can be drawn with a few points, but because they have no access. They are horse back hunts. When looking at units also look at the roads. Even if you are a great back pack and hiker, much of the Northwest quarter of Wyoming is above 5,000 ft elevation and quickly gets to 8,000 ft. . There is very little ATV friendly spots and this year early snow shut many of our roads in late September. A NR hunter that puts the time and money getting ready for a Wyoming hunt, make sure its an area you will get to hunt no matter the weather. A Big Big mule deer is already one of the toughest critters to hunt before adding all the other factors.
Thanks ultramagg! Probably gonna keep building points and wait for a good limited quota tag some day. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but what would be a good area to just go hunt every year with a general tag and get some experience? Maybe even an archery hunt? Is the Laramie mnts. South of Douglas any good I can't find my Eastman magazine anymore so I'm kinda lost.
Talking to a few guys here that elk hunt in105 they usually see some good deer, I realize that it's during the rut, but is this area any good for general season deer or would it be just to early?
