Wyoming 2014 Elk unit 24; any "heads up"? Much appreciated.

I drew a WY Elk unit 24 tag for 2014. I typically hunt solo. I plan to be there in early September for archery/scouting and rifle October 1-14 if necessary. My best bull to date is possibly a 320. I would really like to better that score.
If anyone has experienced elk hunting in this unit, I would much appreciate a little heads up on where to get started.
Also, after taking elk, dressing/cutting/bagging it, I will need to have assistance packing it out.
If you are aware of any horse packers [for a fee, of course], that information would also be appreciated.
Thank you,
Larry

Lots of roads in that unit (or so I've been told - never hunted there). With a good dose of scouting and some luck, you should be able to better your 320. No guarantee, but definitely possible.

It'd be hard to pass any 300 class bull in 24...lots of 5's and small 6's taken by hunters. There are a few good ones there though, just like any Wyoming unit limited or general, but def no guarantee for better than 300 there...just giving you a gauge of what to expect is on the mountain...more time you have to hunt the better chance you'll have at finder a keeper...good luck.

Larry,
I drew that tag as well.
We need to meet for a cup of Dutch Bros, I'll be departing from Curry County.
I'll be scouting it at least once this summer.
I don't think I'll get out there until the last week of Archery but we can exchange some info.
Jim
