When you start to buy pp in Wyoming, do you have to continue to buy one each year? For example, can I buy a point every other year for a species, then in 6 years have built up 3 pp? I thought I read something where if you don't buy for a certain length of time then your points are forfeited. I looked around the G&F website but couldn't find anything. If you know the link I'd appreciate it.

If you do not apply for a point for 2 consecutive years, you will lose any accumulated points. So every other year would be ok.

I think it is two years. You can sit out one year, but not more than two in a row or you lose them.

It has a little more information than on the preference point section on the Game and Fish website. As Colorado Cowboy said it is 2 consecutive years.

They mailed me out a notice about it, so I think they will make some effort to notify you if have points to lose.

They do mail something. I missed a year for my wife's moose and they notified me the following year
