Just checking in with everyone to see how there season has gone??? Wondering if the Mule deer in Western Wyoming are bouncing back as far as quality goes, I would love to hear everyone's opinions! I have max points and am looking at doing DIY public land. Specifically looking in the area of 105, 106, 109 or 101, 102 area. Does anyone have any experiences that they would like to share for those areas?

Hope everyone hunts Hard, Safe and has Fun!

Winter range counts should be very telling about the quality of the herd. Better than many years past, but you will have your work cut out for finding a really big buck.

Best chance for big buck..is still general tag region G IMO...granted max points makes ya think you should be going somewhere else...If you have the time to put in, it can produce an amazing buck. That being said, it is no slam dunk or guarantee at all! its a tough area with immense hunter pressure, but for those who put in the scouting and boot leather, it can be a very rewarding hunt. I know of a lot of tremendous deer that came out of there this season, along with a bunch of solid 170+ bucks.

It's amazing how many out of staters get to hunt this unit. We were up at north piney creek by Big Piney and there was 12 or 13 out of state vehicles at the trailhead compared to 3 Wyoming vehicles. I do applaud OOS hunters for putting in the work when they do get the tag but man it's frustrating to see so many on the opening

Scott, do you or Eastmans have any recommendations or opinion on a unit that is worthy of max points? I am a subscriber so I see the MRS, and which units are blue chips etc. Any different opinions from last years MRS blue chip areas?

101 and 102 still produce big deer, just not as frequently as years past. Guy is starting to work on Wyoming, we will see if things change based on the numbers.
