I drew 115 and was wondering if I was going to have problems with private land and outfitter in this area. going to hunt hard for a good buck 78in or larger. How was the spring rains in this area and whats the horn growth been like up to now. I'm going to buy a few left over doe tags and give it a good hard weeks hunt. any info would be appreciated.

Not to sure about 115. I do know 114 is supposed to be a top choice for big bucks. From what I've heard is it's been dry. Good luck

i live next to and do quite a bit of work in this unit. it's been very dry here this year. that being said, there are still some decent goats in there. there's quite a bit of public land in there. hopefully we start getting some rain here before long.

Fish...congrats on your hunt, and thanks for the info you shared on the unit you hunted last year. We ended up applying for a unit in the SW corner and drew our tags. Hope you get a great buck!

I spoke to the biologist out there before the application period, and he would have chose 115 over 74. Said a friend of his killed an 80" goat out there last year. Take it for what it's worth. He also said there was plenty of public land.

Thanks Scott,
I did my home work and talked to the area biologist also. I used my points last year in 74 but wanted to hunt again this yeas so I applied in the special draw. I was lucky and drew 115. I will hold out for a good buck. I'd like to take another 80 incher.
