There are probably a lot of different strategies going on with high point holders. Here's up with our family. I've been accruing points for my kids (and daughter in law) for many years. I started my kids early when I could buy them points for $10 each. Between my six kids and my daughter-in-law they have 55 antelope points and about the same for deer. We will just buy points again this year, not necessarily waiting out a top end unit, but more likely will do a a few party hunts in solid units. We still have not picked a year to start burning those points. My wife and I have built points in various states and pull the trigger on one or two "sure thing" tags a year. Due to some higher priority hunts, it will likely still be a couple years before we burn some of those antelope points and deer points.
