World's Record Road Hunting Mule Deer

Watch this video. I think this 260" buck has got to be the world's record for mule deer taken while road hunting. I understand this buck was killed last month in the Arizona Strip.

Just read the printed story. They were using the truck as a blind to watch a waterhole, and the buck came out at 70 yards.

I thought you farmers always had a portable hay bail for such occasions. I love how giant bucks are either in the hay field next to the house or at 8K ft but sometimes hard to find in between.

LOL! We grow wheat and barley so dont have much hay other then a little I make for my horses. I was thinking if nothing else was working out I would take a cat out and park in places I know deer cross and sit in the cab all day, but I got my deer spot and stalk on the first day of the season so I never got to try it.

I once jumped a Blacktail buck on a short hunt that went right for the road my truck was parked on. I made it to a vantage point just in time to see saw it run down the gavel road right by my truck, I should have had a shooter with a scatter gun sitting on the tailgate. Using a truck for a blind... Why not??

Can u legally hunt from a vehicle in az??! Sign me up! And who else thinks the shooter was a little too mild mannered in the celebration of that monster? I'd still be driving around with that on the back of my truck showing it off!!

Its illegal to shoot from a vehicle/ on or across a road, but there's no evidence that he did anything of that nature. And yeah the guide seemed more excited then him haha!
