I saw a Wolf in area 36 this year spoke with two outfitters in the area they had not seen any yet but claimed to have been hearing them. Another outfitter told me the game and fish had been watching 3 wolves in the area. Buddy who lives in buffalo has told me there have been wolves in the bighorns for years. Lets hope we can hunt these things before they raise havoc on the bighorn moose population like that around the Jackson area.

Scott Jones if you watch randy Newberg he hunts central Wyoming and shows fresh wolf tracks on his show. I've met randy Newberg he's a class act and would not lie for TV views. So I definitely believe you and your biologist buddy, I think its to the point there isn't a unit in Wyoming that hasn't at least had wolves pass through.

Wolves are incredibly mobile animals. Check out what OR-7 did, left his home pack in NE OR and went into N Cal. 1,000 mile trip, earned the nick name Journey. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OR-7 How many un collared wolves have made similar trips?

It is my guess this inclination & ability to disperse, leads to many actual wolf sightings, randomly, in areas without wolves. Then the there are not wolves in xyz area arguments start, when it is very likely one went through or even a pair settled into a new territory.

I was in Worland WY about 5 years ago. A local guy told me then that they was having problems with them in the big horns!
