They adamantly fought for the native wolf for a decade, so they could use the animal to achieve their activist agenda, but when they failed in court, and the road was kept open, Jerome Hansen of Idaho Fish and Game, and many other employees, chose to erase this species, claiming they never existed. Well I personally don't hunt wolves here in Idaho. I have bought a tag or two....funny never saw a wolf while totin a tag for one.
I did notice though Idaho doesn't require a tag for varmits.....like coyotes...... The natural grasses here, and the minerals in the mountain water REALLY do help them grow though....
Tread quietly though....or you can miss the sporting double shot you see most of the time....

all non-resident elk/deer hunters, should be able to buy a wolf tag for something like $25, just in case they get a crack at one...
make it so every NR buys a tag and make it cheap enough so they buy 1 just for that "what if they see one" moment,
honestly they should just make it mandatory, tack on $25 and throw in a wolf tag.

NR wolf tags are $31.75 in Idaho! There are also bear and lion tags for $31.75 in some areas. A NR can also use their deer or elk tag to take a bear, lion, or wolf if they want to.

They even give me tags I want sometimes
lol. Atleast when they are trying to thin out a predator they make it easy and affordable a NR.
