This sign on CO 125 N of Walden definitely says what we in North Park think of the wolf introduction in CO. We already have enough problems the ones that are here naturally.

We need to get another ballot initiative to stop any further releases and trap the ones already released. The last one just barely passed.

That high terrain along the WY/COL border is among my favorite places on the planet. Godspeed some sanity prevails. They've already been killing cattle and causing trouble. Why can't these people just leave well enough alone?

no. they are not stupid. they have a plan and they are accomplishing exactly what they set out to do. the stupid are the gun owners . they sat back and allowed it to happen.

Hunters shooting wolves when they run across them will have virtually no impact on their numbers. I live smack in the middle of the wolf zone in NE Minnesota with qpprox. 3,000+ wolves, spend my life in the woods, and have had only a couple "shot" opportunities in the last 30 years. It's not worth the trouble you could get into just for the feel good moment. Trappers to your marks!

It's sad to see another state that will fall to the same tragedy that the great lakes states are going through now. Ill-informed voters and tree huggers voted yes for reintroduction with the promise we would follow our biologist's recommendations for population estimates. Well, once they got to that peak population, the rug was pulled out under us and the Feds took away the states power to control them. Now we pay millions in reparations(the state does, the feds don't help) while they kill everything in sight.... livestock, peoples dogs, cats, attacked people, decimated the deer and turkey and everything else living in the woods. And now people are fed up and shoot them on site. We are now approaching 5 times what our biologists said the population should be... and we have our hands tied behind our backs.
Best of luck CO..... you will need it.... it's going to be a wild ride.

We aren't stupid, we are busy at work. The crazies have created work via lawsuit to get what they want. That puts us at a disadvantage until we pool money to employ people who do nothing but fight the crazy. And the merry go round spins around and around and around.
It would be nice if we could get hunters to agree and work together.
why would/should the NR send money to help the guy who wants them outta their state? Why should the NR care about wolves and access issues if he cant come to the party. The current “get outta my state and away from my animals” attitude/talk is very divicive and hurts the entire hunting community.
the folks doing this stuff (wolves, bears) are doing it systematically and intentionally. They are winning and will win the long game cause they do what it takes to win. For them, they’ll gladly fund a lawsuit cause it is a step towards their ideals. The lawsuit itself is a victory.
people/hunters just can't agree on much.
heck there are still hunters who vote democrat. if there was one thing you would think we could all agree upon it is not to do that!!!!!!! I get not wanting to vote for the republican trash but sheesh , just don't vote. there has never in the history of this nation been a better dem choice than the very worst of the republican slime.

Minnesota just released its most recent wolf "plan", and part of that was a survey of 10,000 folks about hunting wolves. 49% were opposed, 41% in favor, and 10% no opinion. I have little doubt that much of the opposition came from people who don't live in a area populated by wolves, and those in favor of regulated hunting and trapping do. That is what happened in the Colorado referendum to reintroduce wolves.

^^^ Sounds like wolves and illegal immigration are pretty much the same.
It takes a wolf showing up and eating your wild game, livestock, or your child at the school bus stop (most of which will never happen if you live in the city...) for some people to have an opinion.
Then by the time people realize how STUPID their decision was, we are stuck with what we have....good luck getting rid of any of them due to the big govt red tape.
Some people wouldn't know a bad idea if it bit them in the ass.....in this case it just might and honestly you get what you vote for.
Maybe we can make room on those busses to ship wolves to downtown Denver, Washington DC and NCY as well. Why not?!

I find the same true of "Christians". They often vote Democratic - it's defies the very belief they profess.
As for wolves - why are we letting judges rule this country? Only folks that get voted in should be able to pass or enforce laws. It is a horrible precident that has been made.
