Hey All,

I need some help. My scope has an adjustable Turret for a 150 grain, .435 ballistic coefficient in 30-.06. I cannot find 150 grain winchester ballistic silvertips in any store around me and I've checked lots.

I need to switch to another brand with a 150 grain/.435 ballistic coefficient and 2900 fps muzzle velocity for distances up to 350 yards or so. I don't want to have to order a new turret. Please advise.

Tdub24, thank you for the help! I have been to bass pro, 2 cabelas and 2 or three Ganders and they were all out. I checked online at Cabelas and Midway USA and they both were out with none back ordered. I stopped looking at that point.

I did find out that the Win Deer Season XP has almost identical ballistics and appears to be a better bullet with respect to holding together and mushrooming to max width quickly. So, I'm thinking this may be the way to go.

You could probably use the Hornady 165 SST superformance ammo. A quick check with a ballistics calculator shows that the two trajectories would only differ by about 2.5 inches at 500 yds.

Agreed libi. And the Hornady load will carry more energy down range. For deer size game this bullet really works great. If your using the load for elk, I would switch to the 165 grain interbond superformance. That is what I shoot for everything.
