Well, I know it isn't to the north of Oracle or to the east or west. That leaves Mt Lemon and I haven't heard of any wild boars up there.

Perhaps there is something going on down on the San Pedro that I haven't heard about or perhaps to the north of San Manuel?

The reason that you all haven't heard much about it, is that most of the hogs are on private land. As well, when they do move, it is in brush so thick that even Mtn. Lions avoid it. Knowing how to pull them out of the jungle is 99% of the battle. Aside from having concessions with some of the farmers/ranchers/landowners, we know how to get them out. I and a buddy began guiding hog hunts in this area some 20+ yrs. ago, and know the area well. We ceased operations for almost 10 yrs. and just started up again with the hogs having spread out over hundreds of sq. miles. In another 5-10 yrs., due to their exponential growth ability, So. Az. will be well known for the hog population and the hunting opportunity for those who learn how to navigate the area of operation.

I had been seeing and killing hogs in Indiana for a decade before most folks outside of that half of the county believed they existed, so I certainly think there could be some little-known populations in Arizona.

Do you have more pictures? Went to the website like you said, and I can only find one picture. Can you post up like a half a dozen different hogs?

I wanted to know what thousands of acres he hunted. The lodge address is in the middle of Oracle.

I think that is all he was doing or trying to do is to rent out the house.

When I first glanced at that cabin I thought that it was the motel that we used to stay at in Oracle. They are A frames also.

"Agriculture fields in the Redington area are private land and have been posted to hunting and trespassing. Be RESPONSIBLE sportsmen and RESPECT the wishes of private landowners. Citations will be issued for trespassing on private lands.

NOTICE: Privately owned Russian boars inhabit the Redington area near the agriculture fields and brushy areas along the river bottom, they are private stock and are illegal to shoot. Russian boars have long course hair similar to javelina, but are much bigger than javelina. Positively identify the species before harvesting an animal."

Right from the Arizona game and fish page. Not really a big secret....
