I've found that I have to keep some type of workout going year round. When you get my age, its just torture to start after a long layoff. Used to be able to do it when I was young, but not now.
No workouts for 3 days. Back to the gym yesterday for my regular Monday session. No pain in the ankle this am!!! Looks like maybe it's fixed for awhile. Back to the gym this am.Went to see the Doc yesterday as I've been having some ankle pain in my Lt foot. Pain right in ankle bone under pressure. Started about 3 wks ago and has gotten worse. X rays negative. Diagnosis...Tendonitis. Steroid injection and rest it. Have to change my workout. Feels better this am, but Doc says probably started when I upped my workout to 2 a days about a month ago.
Its a bitch to get old!!!
Had my annual physical last week and my Dr was pleased. He scheduled a treadmill test as I have never had one. Took it yesterday and passed it too. It really took a lot of effort to get my heart rate up to (and over) 150. Dr was again very pleased. He said I'm in as good shape as most 50 year old he tests....I'm 71! The workout I'm doing are really making a difference.
