So, did you drop him with a shot in his neck? I've heard of people doing that but always felt it was too small a target.

Yea it was a neck shot. It really piles everything up and they dont move an inch plus very little meat loss. The base of the neck is a bigger target and works great too. It trashes the cape but that doesnt matter to me. This is my wife's muley and how it landed with a neck shot.

any where in the neck is a good spot. Ill only take head shots if they are facing straight towards me since a jaw shot wont kill them.

Mnhoundman it has definately been my best season yet! Its going to be tough to beat expecially with another baby due mid april but it wont be the first time we take a little kid hunting

Well I did it again, shot the wrong buck. Looked better than he is. nice little 4x4 but I do have one more deer tag.
