What surprised me is that the bobcat didn't eat the rattler.

He took it over and under the tree on the right and it appears that he was thinking about it.

The trouble is that the video is edited so we will never know.

Rattlesnakes give off a very pungent odor.
If you have ever dealt with many of them, they are downright smelly.
Most animals if they do kill one will avoid eating it or sticking around.
I noticed the Bobcat rolled around on the kill sight, possibly
marking his territory? Or maybe transferring the smell to himself.

Should we chastise him for killing a snake not knowing if he ate it or not? Meh, lets just assume he didnt eat it and tell him hes a bad kitty. lol

In a perfect world, the cat would have eaten the snake
