Where to get first archery mule deer

I have hunted several western states for elk deer and antelope but all have been OTC I was wondering where would make the most sense to apply for and above average mule deer with archery gear I am willing to pack in but would rather be on public land I am considering souther CO but UT and AZ interest me Any help on ideas would be appreciated

Depends what type of hunt you want. Nevada has some good opportunities for archery hunters

Arizona has great OTC archery tags available in August, December and January.
