17 th or 24th??? When will we know our destiny. Red? Or green? Has been no action on this in a month. Time to c some excitement on the nm forum!
I might stop a few applicants but not enough to make any difference in draw odds. I actually started applying for more species to offset that license cost.I am curious on how the change in requiring the non refundable license purchase will effect non-resident participation.

Me too. I've always applied for elk and Barbary sheep, with deer, antelope, and oryx sprinkled in on some years. I figure with the extra $70 in non-refundable I'd apply for everything I'm interested in (except bighorn, odds are just too bad to justify loaning out that money to them for 2 months). Maybe that was their plan: instead of just getting to keep my $70 license fee they got an extra $52 in extra app fees from me too!I might stop a few applicants but not enough to make any difference in draw odds. Agreed! I think the only way to improve odds would be to limit the number of species we can apply for, similar to how Idaho does it or Utah does with the residents. They will never do it though, too much money to lose!I predict more applicants this year than ever before
License is non-refundable now, so that method won't work. The backdoor methods used to drive me crazy, now I just wait very impatiently for the official results. Please NM release them tomorrow!Trying to remember how the back door works i just tried to buy a lic. and the system says i already have a lic ?
