New Guy here. Was in Law Enforcement in South Florida since 1982. Retired and moved back to home place of Colorado. Currently with Sheriff's Office, search and rescue unit. Gives me a chance to keep those skills active and in use LOL

Heres a first - Insurance Agent. Family agency since 1963. Have offices in CA and Idaho with my brother who also is a member on this site. As you can imagine, not much insurance gets sold during hunting season. It pays the bills and you can't argue with being your own boss and taking the time off needed for hunting.

I am a Journeyman Lineman. I climb up to 300ft in the air to keep the power on! I love my job! I travel from coast to coast doing storm repair but spend the majority of my time in Northern California.

Born and raised in western MT, I joined the Navy out of high school as a photojournalist. I've been at it for five years. We fly back every November for mulies, and we're getting out next year to move back to Bozeman where I'll start Bible college.

I've worked at Apple Inc since 1987. I kind of fell into the job out of college and I've been here ever since. I'm a supervisor for the group that builds/customizes the offices here for the company. Not the outdoor job I dreamt of being in since I was a kid though.

Thanks to our defenders. I did a tript to Viet Nam and 3years in 101st airborne, total 6 years. One year in Korea. Recently, my company designed, built and sold racing minibikes for adults, youth atvs, and street legal scooters. Homeland Security seized my inbound Christmas(several hundred thousands dollars worth) that I had prepaid. They had absolutely no reason for their actions and never gave justification. Now I have a few cattle and otherwiseI am retired and my twenty plus employees are doing something else.

For all of you that think your job sucks just remember It could be worse. I'm a professional DOOD-TO-DOOR salesman. I work my can off for 4-5 months out of the year take 3-4 months off for hunting season. Then just dabble around with petie jobs for a few months before returning to the Doors. Not a job I love but I sure do like hunting mon-fri in the fall makes it worth it.

I've been a financial advisor since graduating school in '06. I've earned the Certified Financial Planner designation and advise people on all aspects of the finances - investments, retirement, insurance, estate planning, taxes, etc. I hate being viewed as a salesman as "brokers" don't exactly have the best reputation. But I love showing people how to make the most of what they have and use it to do what they dream. For those who know what they want - family, hunt/fish, church, etc - it really doesn't take all that much to be happy.

I like setting my own schedule but I sure envy the guys who can get away during the week in the fall!

Former union carpenter fell into a job 6 months ago with a large commercial property owner doing tenant improvement construction and commercial building maintenance. Best part is the company owners are hardcore archery hunters who have hunted most of the worlds most sought after trophies. Im just a lifelong Idaho diy general tag mule deer hunter but its nice to work for guys that love hunting as much or more than I do.

8 years in the Marine Corps with deployments to the Gulf and Mogadishu. Some how managed to get a degree in business and now work in law enforcement. I've spent the last 14 years as a Deputy Sheriff. I currently work as a K9 handler and love every minute of it! Oh yea, and the time off for hunting and fishing with my family ain't bad either.
