What are your archery optics for out West?

I'm a 10X50 guy for all bowhunting situations. There are always in my bivy and hardly can tell they are there I've worn them so much. I like the size to be able to figure out tactics for a stalk without using a spotter. Or make the call on a bull that is in the timber in a point restricted area. Makes judging easier, stalks easier. I pair it with a tripod for lengthy glassing scenarios or if I really want to judge an animal. If I can't tell it's a shooter with these binos then I am crazy. Spotters are for scouting, this set up is for hunting. From the whitetail woods to highcountry of Colorado it works like a charm for me. I would never go less, never go more!

What do you use for a rangefinder?

Been running 10x42 vipers/Leopold rx1200 rf for about 5 years but was able to upgrade to 10x42 swaro. ELs this year as I won a pair in a raffle.

I use the Cabela's Euros 10x42 and an older Leupold rangefinder, I think RF600 or something. They both have done me very good for archery, muzzleloader, and rifle.

I use the same ancient pair of Leupold Wind River binos for all hunting and my rangefinder fits in my shirt pocket. I don't know why anyone would need to use different binos for different hunts.

I have a pair of Zeiss Conquests 10x42 binos and have two rangefinders. A Leica 1600 and a vortex 1000. I don?t really use the vortex anymore even for a archery rangefinder because the Leica is much nicer. However the vortex 1000 rangefinder is a fantastic rangefinder for archery hunting.
I?d go with a nicer pair of binos if you can

They are the 10X50 Wind River Porro Prism binos and they are still crystal clear almost 25 years later.

Just upgraded binoculars to a pair of Maven 9x45's. Did an enormous amount of research into many models outside the usual 3-4 brands hunters use. Came away really impressed with the knowledge of astronomy and birding site folks who like brands like Minox, Steiner, Pentax, Docter, takahashi, fujinon, kowa, etc. just as much as the others like Zeiss, Swaro, Leica, leupold, and vortex. I was able to try just about every pair Maven had at a show in Cody and with 25% off at the show decided to pull the trigger.

Now I just gotta see how my wife and daughter respond with retaliation purchases. LOL.

I have a nikon archery rangefinder that I typically use instead of my vortex 1,000.

I also run a Pentax PF80 ED spotter.

My 7 year old pair of Zeiss rangefinding binos were stolen at the end of last fall.. which sucked obviously. I debated what to replace them with all winter, and eventually decided to not get RF binos because I no longer am guiding so they aren't as necessary, and I have a good leupold handheld I use for archery anyway. I decided to go with Maven 11x45 for now.. I have been using them for bear season and shed hunting, and am very satisfied with all aspects of them so far. After coming from a $3k bino to these, I thought I wouldn't be happy, but I am very much satisfied with my purchase so far.. as far as spotting scope, i run a Kowa 77mm, and ill put that up against all of the big 3 in every aspect any day of the week.
