Wet cob won't work!!

I am bowhunting this year for blacktail deer. I drew this tag a couple years ago and put wet cob out( grains and corn, sweet smell) and the deer didn't touch it. What to put out?

Wet or dry COB. I have a pile of blacktails pounding it. Seems a bit late to get started with the season so close.

the blacktails in my area don't care for it much either. only thing they seem to come to is mineral licks for me but once the bucks shed velvet they slow down or stop coming into that too. the one thing they seem to really like are apples.
