Well, I just got done putting in myself and hunting partner for this coming February's HAM javelina season.

The online system changed a little from last year so it took a little bit longer. Also if you put in and need a new hunting license you have to purchase that separately, not like you could in past years when you could purchase everything at once.

When we first started hunting 37b we used to see quite a few people driving up and down the washes but never out hiking. It then tapered off to where we saw very few people but it has started to pick up again especially on the weekends. Horseback riders, dirt bikers, bicyclist, and others out on the desert but they usually don't bother us too much since we are out there before daylight and are usually hiking where they don't go. One funny thing is that part of the Arizona Trail bisects the area that we hunt and there is a very old road that goes into a old tank that we use to get to the top of the hill to glass. Well a couple of years ago a couple hiking the trail saw us and reported us to the authorities. They even stayed around to get our names and tag numbers off of our 4 wheelers. Now one ever showed up but when we got back to the truck at the parking lot there was a Game and Fish officer and he wanted to talk to us. We showed him on the map were we were and where the road was, he told us that everything was fine and asked us how the couple had talked to us. We told him that they were very irate and were badmouthing us and what our 4 wheelers were doing to the desert. He told us that he would follow up with them and asked us if they hindered our hunting in any way where he could cite them for "hunter harassment". We had a good chuckle over that

But even today that road is still there but if you don't know about it you would never find it. It crosses the Arizona Trail twice before it goes down into the draw to the tank. But we have never ran into anyone else that has even questioned us about riding on it.

I'll be putting in on Monday. The usual unit, it has been good to us. Should be able to draw since we all got a point last year.

The nice thing about Arizona is if you keep putting in you get a loyalty point where you will have at least 1 point going into the draw each year.

Also if you take the Arizona hunter safety course you can pick up another point for the course, so you could have 2 points going in each year.

I haven't hunted Az for about 3 years. Can you just do online or is there a in person portion you have to finish like in colorado.
My original is Wisconsin from when I was a kid but have taken colorado 4 times due to ex wife and my kids.

On the hunter safety for the Arizona point has a day class that you have to show up for but the majority of it can be taken on line I believe.

I don't worry about it since we have never had a problem drawing the tags but that point is good for all the animals in the draws in Arizona.

Just looked at my CC account and it looks like I've drawn my stink pig again, this will make it 26 years in a row.

Come on February.

I took it out a couple of months ago and shot 50 rounds through it at 100-150 yards and it put all the bullets right were I was aiming.

I think that the problem last year was the person pulling the trigger. But then that always seams to be what I find when I suspect a weapon or scope problem.
