Bought a Razor 65 this year and was amazed at the quality. Last light clarity is incredible and worth every penny. That being said, I don't go over 30 power very often. I haven't looked through the 50 at low light so I don't know how it is with light gathering. Others on here can tell ya better on that but if you're committed to your budget I don't think the extra power above 33 is absolutely necessary.

How about a straight scope or angled? Probably be using it in the truck as much as in the field so I'm not sure an angled scope would be any more helpful. I've used a straight for years so I'm just curious what other guys like to use?

I bought a Razor with an angled eyepiece. You can rotate the scope in the mounting ring by loosening a thumb screw and turn it so the eyepiece points back and it works pretty good on a window mount.
