I watched your YT on the Razor HD 4000. Does the 1800 provide the same type of functions and quality? I realize it is shorter distance, but living in MI I'm not sure I need the range in the 4000.

You will be happy with it, the 4,000 really is going to excel out west. 1800 will perform great on what you are looking for!

Great question - the Razor HD 4000 will give you a noticeable advantage optically, but the Ranger 1800 is pretty tough to beat at that price point. I use the Ranger 1800 for here in the Midwest and it does everything I need it too and more.
