Used optics prices

Recently I have been buying used camera gear with really good success. I was wondering what members think is a fair price for good quality used Binos or Spotting Scope. Typically high end lenses are going for 70% of new. Is this normal for high end (Swarovski, Leica, etc.) optics?

I bought a 1977 Leupold VX 2 3x9x40 for $50. Sent it to Leupold, they sent back a brand new in the box VX 2. Guess what I'm getting at, is if it has a lifetime warranty it doesn't really matter, as long as it's less than retail.

50-75℅ of new cost for Leupold scopes in very good condition. My rifles are all scoped with nice stuff that I bought used off forums sale boards.

Always looking for more though. Last one was a perfect FX-III 6X42 for $200 shipped. Really like that scope. Sits on a .223 bolt gun.

60-70% is the norm. I always try to only buy stuff with good warranties

I like buying samples from CameralandNY or SWFA, not as big a discount but things I've bought like that have been in very good shape.
