Agreed - $86 and a misdemeanor trespassing charge for being a US Fish & Wildlife employee assisting in poaching wildlife and wanton waste? It's a "Y'all come and poach as much as you like" message from a judge that is supposed to uphold the law. They should lose their jobs at a minimum.

For the guy that shot the elk, a $5K tax-deductible contribution to RMEF and loss of hunting privileges for 5 years, if that goes through, is not much of a penalty either. He can still "hunt" out of season as long as he doesn't post on social media and he's still got 3 friends to help him out and the government who pays him to scout.
