Headed to unit 74 north of durango 10 or 15 miles this weekend. I have a bear rifle.tag and.partner has bear rifle and muzz bull tag. Ive never.looked for bear.in 74 so wanted to see.if any had . Anyone know what the acorns.and berries are looking like in the.area. i also have.a.tag for 75-78 if i cant find any.in 74 and ive killed a couple in that gmu. Wanted to hunt with him and maybe.get a bear spotted where hes elk hunting if not ill go to more familiar bear spots. Thanks for any info.

74 is about 50 miles from me and the conditions are about the same as here. Lots of afternoon monsoon action, thunder, lightning & rain. The high country still has some snow above 10K feet and it has been a wet, moist summer. Lots of feed for the bears, so they are feeding mostly at night .
