My son and I drew 67-1 with the thought that, aside from it being a great Antelope hunt but it would also allow us to scout the area for a future deer hunt (we have 8 points). Any thoughts on general direction to start in? Are there any camping areas for a small trailer and tent? Is a four wheeler worth bringing? I have maps of the unit coming from My Topo so any information offered will be coordinated with those...We plan to come over from Oregon the second weekend of the hunt and spend 10 days in the field. Thanks for any info.

I'm gonna assume ( ikr) we are talking about Wyoming, since i can't picture another state having an awesome antelope unit 67!
Great unit, lots of antelope, and big antelope. The lope in my avatar came from 67 in 2012.
Seems that there was plenty of camping in the area, including lots of blm, as well as some sizable lakes nearby.
A 4 wheeler would be overkill imho, a full size pickup and some boot leather will be plenty
Good luck on a great unit!

I hunted muleys in 90 about 4 years ago. Seen a lot of antelope and horses. You'll be camping in sagebrush, hardly any trees. And the mud and wind are no joke, be prepared. IMHO I would bring a 4wheeler, it can get remote quick out there. Definitely a better 'lope hunt than muleys. Did get a heavy 3x3 with an extra though. But was disappointed by quality of hunt for max points and a "blue" chip designation. Anyways you'll have a great hunt and keep us updated on your findings

I hunted the south end. But drove thru north end where they were. Get onX map of unit just to be safe. Better lope hunting by far. There's a cutoff in shoshoni that takes you out to western side of your unit. Seen some good ones there. Congrats and have fun

Thanks again robak! Just received a MY Topo of the unit so will follow your advice and check out that area first. We'll have 10 days there and so will be able to move at will. We're not in any great hurry since my son just got out of the Marines this'll be some father-son time as well as a really great hunt.

Brother and I will be coming out from WI, September 10 - 30. I have two bucks (72 & 75) on my wall surrounding a horny doe, their my favorite mounts, need to finish it off with an 80 incher. Wife was looking at the calendar and asked what the ? mark on the 30th was for? Told her may have too stay longer, 80 inchers aren't behind every sage bush!
