Thanks, not sure what LE is? I have been looking for a unit to hunt mule deer that I can get my tags OTC. Thanks again.

LE is limited entry or the units you have to draw for that specific unit. Some of Idaho is LE but there are alot of units you can hunt with a general otc tag too. You can look in the idaho regs to see which units are which.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe unit 55 has any OTC buck deer tags.

I didn't think so either but it does appear that 55 has a general E/S Archery tag late season. 2013 regs.

You really have to look up the regs for each unit in Idaho in the general and LE season regs. Some units can have a few different hunts in them. There are also some units that you can hunt forked horns on a gen tag and there is a LE tag for bigger bucks.

There is no regular ( OTC ) tags for unit 55. There are two controlled hunts for unit 55. One is for 25 tags aug15th-sept25th and one is for 375 tags oct5th-oct31st that is according to last years regulations this years haven't come out yet so there could be some slight changes. There are no OTC rifle tags for 55. As has been said, there are two controlled rifle hunts, one early and one later in October. Some years also had a controlled muzzleloader hunt as well, I'm not sure if they still have the muzz hunt anymore. The general season applies to the late archery hunt which can be hunted with the general deer tag.
