Has anyone spent much time in unit 45 Colorado? Looks like another OTC elk hunt in 45 this year...just curious if anyone spends much time in unit hiking/camping/mulies, etc...that might have any suggestions are parts of unit to pay attention to.
I spent about 6 days there in 09 archery elk hunting. Probably averaged 5-7 miles a day. Heard elk twice, saw 3 elk about 2 miles away once. Plenty of hunters, I struck out. That's my only experience, haven't been back since.
