Drew a unit 43 muzzleloader tag in colorado. Looking for insight from those you are familiar with the unit or may have hunted it before. Not looking for anyones Secret Spots. I have a general idea of where I am thinking to start scouting. Looking to hunt the SnowMass wilderness area. Haystack, williams, hardscrable, avalache areas look like a good place to start. I have been told to avoid the Aspen side trail heads to get away for the hikers if archery hunting. Is that the same for the muzzle loader hunt or do the crowds tend to slow down in september? Possibly looking into renting horses or hiring someone to provide a drop camp. If anyone could refer me to someone. Thanks for the input. I am looking forward to start scouting soon. I am open to and would appreciate suggestions too. Thanks again.

I second avoiding the aspen side. If your in 1/2 decent shape you can backpack hunt it pretty easily. good luck
