Hunted unit 38 in colorado for 2 weeks seen 3 does and 2 bucks in 2 weeks. We covered 100's of miles from boulder to central city to st Mary glacier and 5 deer. Did see about 500 hunters and 15+ elk. I guess it's Murphys law if you have a deer tag you see elk if you have an elk tag you see deer but even driving around at night when deer used to be all over the road but not this time not a one. The wife did miss one does but that was the only shot at a deer she had but could of stuck 5 of the elk. Will not hunt 38 again in the near future.

38 isn't the best unit to hunt deer unless you have access to private property. Just a warning to others looking to hunt it. Some of the locals know of decent spots but there are better units that are easy to draw.
