My brother and I just got back from Wy with two antelope each off of public ground in unit 38. I was a day late and he was done before I got there on thursday. Friday I missed one at 320 with a 25-30 cross wind. I filled my two tags the next day though. One in the morning about 9:30, back to camp for lunch and a nap; then back out at 3 and I had another one on the ground by about 4. It was a great day of hunting on the high plains, pussyfooting around the ridges and hills to find 'em and crawling through the cactus for the shot!

We got more dry ice in Cheyenne on sunday and went to the Frontier Museum, had a meal in town and left monday morning.

Great trip. We dry camped in a public park in a little town and hunted a 10 square mile patch of state land about 5 miles away. It held a fair number of animals. Not many were visible from the roads, so we mostly had the place to ourselves. Prairie dog shooting was excellent too. Never saw so many before.

Sounds like a fun trip, glad you were able to get some tags filled - any pictures to share?
Thanks, I'm bad about pics, my brother is gonna send what he took. I'll post em up when I get em.

I mostly wanted to let folks know you can go to a new area in Wy with no prearranged private access and do fine. The animals are there, just gotta get out and find em.
