unit 37

anyone been in the unit recently? just curious how the deer and elk are looking.

The elk are great and deer are average. I have a cow tag for one of the units by this one and will be hunting mule deer in 37 on private. What do you have a tag for? The bull tag for 37 is pretty tough to come by but the deer is pretty easy.

my buddy gots a rifle bull tag and i got the first rifle deer tag. havent had a chance to get out in a while. saw a couple good bulls and a real good buck earlier in the year. they were looking pretty good then. thanks for the update

I saw two bulls in there this weekend. They were still bugling.

Scounted our ranch again over the weekend. Am getting some really nice bucks on camera at the water tanks. Don't know if you are hunting the high or low part of the unit. We are seeing lots of them down low.

we have been high and low. we plan on hunting the wilderness area to hopefully get away from the crowds of hunters. we have seen some good bucks up high but, they are few and far between. we have seen quite a few down lower but i think these areas are going to be loaded with hunters. this is going to be my wifes 3rd year hunting. she killed her first buck last year, and will hopefully get her second this year. you wouldnt happen to know an area with decent deer numbers and a little less hunters(with out giving out any honey holes)?

I just got back from the unit on a scouting trip and saw a few good deer. I hunted there once when I was in high school and drew out again this year. If you are interested in swapping some info on areas send me a PM
