So we ended up based on advice from you guys getting into town Tuesday night and spent Wed and Thursday camping and scouting areas.... I ended up using OnX Maps on my iPad and a paper map from mytopo to keep me out of trouble with private land owners. In spite of it being opening weekend we only saw one other hunter scouting and had the area around us alone come Friday morning. I had set up my bog pod and a spotting scope overlooking a draw the night before. During the evening it went from warm and quiet to windy as all get out. Friday morning I got in my seat by 6:15 and watched a few antelope grazing and sure enough as it got light they went over the next rise, however this old guy came up the draw within about 190 yards when I took the shot. Its a 308 shooting Nosler 165 Gr Accubonds. He had both prongs broken off but I was excited to get my first antelope... we did the gutless method and packed him back to camp where we had a tenderloin lunch before heading home to Kansas.
Thanks everyone for the help, I'll absolutely be back to Wyoming again!
