Unit 15 Colorado 2014 archery

I've searched and found some information on 15 but most of it is a few years old. Anybody hunt it recently? we're coming from Tennessee and N.C. so we need to make the best of our time. I have "scouted" it as thoroughly as I can and have hunted Colorado before just not this unit. Any news on numbers, hunters, beetle kill. Much thanks ahead of time!

Welcome to the forum. Please take the time to introduce yourself in the new members section. I believe there are many people on here who can offer you some good information but they are usually a little hesitant to "spill the beans" to a brand new member who may or may not hang around. There is lots of beetle kill and the infux of hunters has almost becomed overwhelmed. It used to be a great unit to hunt but anymore everyonr wants to go way back deep and well thats what everyone else is doing. there are still some decent elk but numbers have dropped along with quality. email me for more info. Like I said its not what it used to be. and im not after quantity im after quality, and its not there anynmore. [email protected]

Don't know how you faired but I was hunting 15 also. Covered most of Sarvis wilderness lots of hunters not much game. Especially no elk. South end of the area had elk but all on private land. Haha.
