I discovered the Icebreaker 100% merino boxer briefs this summer. Love 'em! Cool in the summer and warm (so far) in the cold.

I keep a can of Anti-Monkey Butt Powder in my pack. It really works! You can find it at Walgreens, Tractor Supply and usually WalMart. Good stuff.

Is the Monkey Butt powder any better than the regular old Johnsons baby powder...?
Whenever I get chaffed or irritated, I use regular old Vaseline. Have used it for years and keep a small tube of it with me when I'm hunting/hiking. I've tried all the powder types and they just don't seem to give the almost instant relief that I get from Vaseline.

I spend all summer on wilderness canoe trips and much of the fall hunting. I have tried a variety of the $30 options, but setteled with the Walmart cheap Hanes Comforblend (50/50). A six pack is around $10. My biggest concern isn't monkey butt, but rather dealing with a case of the green apple two-step. I go out for up to two weeks straight and never bring more than 3 pr. Going commando is not an option.

My wife got me some of the Weatherproof Cool Last boxer briefs for a birthday or something and I have really enjoyed them quite a bit, very comfortable and don't ride up at all. But I do like how fast they dry out after washing. They are a great choice if you're on a budget too, I can pick up 3 pair for $25. Ditto on using powders as well, makes the day that much more enjoyable..
