I guess it should be undees, idk, anyway, I was wondering what underwear you all use for being in the high country hunting/hiking or anywhere for that matter. I have been looking at different companies like REI, Smartwool, Under Armour, etc. I have bought some sports ones from adidas & nike but wasn't too crazy about em. I saw a thread for base layers but didn't see anything for underwear. Thanks

I'm headed to Colorado for my first ever elk hunt, and first time ever being in the mountains two weeks from today. I bought two pairs of Minus33 100% merino wool boxer briefs for my hunt. I've tried them out at home (Wisconsin) while working out. I've worn them for 4 days in a row working out, completely soaked with sweat, and they don't smell at all. They are extremely comfortable as well. I can't say how they will perform in the mountains, but so far I really like them. $30 on Amazon.

I think there's a lot of personal preference here in terms of fit. I have a pair of minus33's I picked up clearance on their website which seem well made, but I don't like the fit. Some Redram's that I really like, and a pair of C4E that are just ok. Most are sold individually so I buy one at a time until I find one I like, since they all are kind of price for underwear.

I've never had a reason to stray from the common Hanes boxer briefs? I work outside all year hot and cold, I've never been cold in the underwear area. Heat, thats a whole differant story! If anything I could use something to cool me down.

I got my first pair of exofficio before my pronghorn hunt and I have been happy with them. I'll ask for the Merinos for christmas.

I live in az.I use to wear under armour but if I wear them more than twice they really start sinking, switched to merino wool wore them for 4 straight days in 110°didn'tsink ,felt cool, only problem I had I didn't like was the brand I bought the waisted band rolled up made it uncomfortable but I won't switch back I'll just get a different band til I find one that doesn't roll.

Looks like kuiu is working on some skivvies, it's listed in Jason's gear list on his stone sheep writeup. It also has kuiu merino socks. I'm sure they will be top notch.

That is pretty much where I am at Timberstalker. I need to update my base layer or whatever (come on OT!), but I will probably stick to the tightey whiteys. Baby powder seems to help keep me cool and dry a little bit down there. That's getting a little personal, lol. How do you deal with the humidity in the summer? That is a real kick in my butt. Maybe I'll have to try some of this new fangle stuff. I didn't even know they made special undies. I guess I should shop somewhere other than K-mart.

Humidity isn't that bad here in Central Oregon, I take a lot of showers in the summer months. To be honest, staying freash and clean is the biggest challange I face when hunting for days on end without a shower. I can deal with lack of sleep, tired muscles, blisters, lack of game, but I have a real problem if I get Monkey butt! If there were undewear that prevented that I would pay big money for them.
