Type 4 archery elk

Just curious if a type 4 antler less tag can be used during the archery season. If it's limited quota I think you can but want to make sure. What about type 6 reduced price? Want to hunt a new area but would like to get acquainted with an area before burning up points. Thanks for any help.

yes you can hunt the archery season with any tag. Still have to buy archery permit.

So are you saying if you have a type 1 tag, you could hunt with a bow at the beginning of bow season? I don't think you can as you would be limited to just the 2 week archery season and can't hunt the Type 9 (all archery) season. Just wanted to be sure the original poster is understanding the limitations of buying the additional bow tag.

This really just depends on the individual area(s) the tag is for.
