Hello everyone,

I live in big blacktail country and have 4 cameras out right now. It seems that the deer left the area in the last month. I check the cams every few weeks and they have almost all dissapeared. I havr a mineral block in front of two, and salt pellets in front of the others. Its not an area I hunt, its just too thick. But i hunt within 1/4 mile. I have seeen a few deer about a 1/2 mile away in the recent weeks.

Does anyone know why they might leave, and what i could use this time of year to bring the deer back? Whats best by a camera as far as attracting them? I have only used cameras for about 1.5 years, and i want to see more deer, it seems they were there all the time in December and February.

Thanks all

A guess is there could be some new growth sprouting or a favored food coming on that has moved them for now. Not sure where you are at, but guessing NW CA or SW OR, been very warm where I am in OR.
