Tripod for spotting scope

Probably a dumb question but can you use any camera tripod for a spotting scope? I have a Bushnell spotting scope that looks to have a 1/4" female thread for attachment. I have a window mount for it already, so I'm hoping I could find a tripod to work with it.

Yea, I kind of figured that might be an issue. I'm hoping to find something light enough I can make work...any recommendations for a good tripod that's a reasonable price?

Check out vortex tripods, high country is right around $100, I use mine on a vortex 11/33/50 spotter.
