Does anyone know if there is a set of trekking poles out there that might have an adapter to connect my binoculars to like you would with a tripod for spotting and/or use the set of poles as a shooting stick? I've googled the idea for 20 minutes and couldn't find what I'm thinking of, but I could be googling wrong I guess.

Thanks

In the new issue of Easton's, there is an article about trekking poles. On page 78, there was mention of using a model with a V built into the top, ie. Grivel Condor, for shooting stick, or rifle rest.
That's all I got.

Once I'm in the backcountry I use one pole to erect my tent with an extension jack. My other pole is used for setting my binos on top of to get a steady glassing session. Sitting or standing there's no shaking so you don't miss the small things that could turn up an animal you're after.

I have a stoney point walking stick with a v on the top of it. it is not as good of a trecking pole as a trecking pole. But it does get the job done. I have also used the v to hold my binos.

I've seen guys drill into the top of the handle and epoxy a female thread in there so that can use all thread or whatever to put tripod head, v yoke, bino adapter, etc on there. For a crossed shooting stick grab a Gear Tie and wrap them in a v. Is very solid.
