I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions on a source for different trailheads and trails. I live in Pennsylvania and the closest forest has some good trails but it is difficult to find info on trailhead locations as far as I have been able to see. I am planning on a backcountry hunt in Colorado next year on an OTC tag and have started doing some research and am hoping to get a good idea of where I will be starting my hike in so I can concentrate on some maps. Thanks in advance and good luck this season.

Google Earth is helpful. Also get in touch with the Colorado Department of Forestry for maps. If your destination is a State or National Park then it will be even easier to find great maps. fatrooster.

The Trails Illustrated maps show the trailheads. A big chunk of Colorado is covered by those maps, but not all. So depending on where you are going, that may be a good source.
