well said! One mans idea of treating his gear like a baby, is not always the same as another mans Idea. I have seen guys throw bows into truck beds from ten feet away and not look to see if it even got there safely. While if mine slides on a wall I leaned it on, I cringe.
Buy, Sale, Trade sections of forums are a pain, members who feel unfairly treated tend to expect forum staff and or company staff of the forum to right their wrongs. Liability is often misguided, and then you come across the member rating aspect of it. Member rating methods often associated with BST pages can really put a negative light on an otherwise quality knowledgeable member due to the difference of opinion of gear and condition of its arrival.
With sites like craigslist, ebay, etc there is so many better options to put one into used or second hand gear with no negative reflections on an otherwise fledgeling forum for Eastmans. From having moderated other forums and having dealt with this on more than one occasion this forum is best left without one, and kept to a more streamlined information highway and story board as it is now. Just my 2 cents.
This sounds cool!well, how about a spot for trading hunts?
i would love to take any and all out of state hunters lookin to hunt elk, antelope or mule deer hunting in southwest wyoming for free if someone was willin to do the same for me in another state. You just have to understand that im not a guide and can't take you into the wilderness areas. im NOT willing to provide food or gas or guns or horses or lodging, but i will take you to the areas that have the best opportunity to harvest quality/trophy game and help you find the game and show you the area. i have actually helped one other member on this forum a little. hopefully this fall will be a great time for him and his dream hunt in wyoming, because without a little "home town knowledge", this member would be behind the eight ball his entire hunt. In return, he has graciously offered to help me out on a little deer hunt in canada of my own. I know its not for everyone, but i do believe that there are other members that would do the same.
I can see where things can go wrong, but really? We would all be hiding in underground bunkers if we were worried about everything that COULD go wrong. And if you dont like this idea, well then.....lets just scrap it and forget i even mentioned it! lol happy hunting to you all!!!!
