It depends on the units you are looking at, but I appreciate the response. I seem to find myself a point or two behind the units I want on a continuous basis due to the point creep issue. WY isn't the top of my list right now, so I can be patient with them.

Point creep will certainly get me this year, maybe even next year, but there's always a chance!

My favorite unit looks like it?s out of my reach for many years due to point creep. I think next year will be an archery hunt some where else and forget about the upper units. Maybe go back one more time when my bil draws. After burning my points I might switch to cow tags and hunt with a bow so at least I?m there during the rut.

Did you lose your points? Starting this year we don't get a preference point if unsuccessful in the draw. We have to purchase our points starting in July.

Yes just 1 tho. I had purchased it several years ago and didnt realize they need to be bought anually to be kept and accrued

Unless they changed stuff up-and they sometimes do-it was every other year that you had buy the points to keep them in WY. They even send an email reminder a few weeks prior to the last date to buy the points; if you're at risk of losing them that year. I wouldn't rely on their email reminder cuz technology has its moments; but still kinda good to get a reminder before losing the stash.

Its likely i’ll never accumulate any points, except sheep points in either Wyoming or Colorado. Ive adopted the attitude that i’d rather hunt elk every year in general units rather than sit home dreaming about hunting.
