I still don't know why Homeland Security did what they did. They locked up my inbound shipments and never gave a reason. Those shipments were presold for Christmas. I lost my sales, my customers, and still had the merchandise. It wasn't like I had just started importing either. Homeland Security has unreal power. The Homeland Security bureaucrat would not talk to anyone in my company except the girl who answered the phone. It took 30 days to get someone to talk to the president for me, actually a dove hunter that worked with Mr. Bush. This in essence broke me and put me out of business. It also cost lots of people their jobs. I had 22 employees and the factories in China and Taiwan were hurt. I also imported from Spain. The government don't play by their rules, they just do anything the bureaucrats can do anything they please.
Undoubtedly there's more to this story than's being told.

I rolled into my favorite tire shop today and they were suprised my toyo m/t's are still holding air. He showed me a semi new m/t called the atturo trail blazer m/t. I believe the price will be right. I'll be the first to try them out (they just became a dealer for these tires) and he wants a full on beat down on the tire to see what they'll handle. Hopefully they are a price point solid tread m/t. Toyos get expensive!

Homeland Security also turned me in to EPA. The EPA answered in less than 24 hours stating," we have no hold on this mans product".
I never had a customs problem and I had received many thousands of units. It was strictly to put me out of business. She still kept my product (several containers) another 24 hours after I got a release. That's pretty much the rest of the story.

That actually is way more mild than what was thinking, but I read too much Tom Clancy type stuff. Was it a competitor that turned you in? There has to be some way to get some restitution, sorry to beat a dead horse, that just really sucks. Probably costs too much for a lawyer. That is some below the belt type stuff. EPA is kindof a dirty word around here.

Probably going with the Kumho 710, the outside half has no tread yet they are legal for highway use. They are for the GTO. I pretty much just use it for autocross. It is driven to a few events close to home. The Grand Cherokee will get the Coopers put back on at the end of the month. My next off road tires will have to be quiet, I think Michelin. BTW Kumho is from S Korea, Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson are Coopers, Maxxis tires are from China. Firestone helped me in the Baja and Goodyear was not helpful in the Baja. I use Firestone when I can for that reason. We used their commo to locate riders, or for medical emergencies.

I wont comment again about my dirtbike tires and HLS. Today on Fox new they had a story about a raid by homeland Security in riot gear with their guns and big truck confiscating an older Range Rover that was not EPA compliant. Why are the bureaucrat agencies being armed as if for war? Because our armies are not allowed to attack citizens.
Almost all my competition was put out of business, too. KYMCO, Dinli, and E-ton are the only survivors I can think of. There are some new start ups now. I have already had the audits, the third audit caught me no paying the tax on Christmas bonuses, cost me an additional $800. Just an oversight by my bookkeeper. I had cpa and tax attorneys and was very legal. Our biggest competition was always the government. Now, lets go bow hunting for elk using Cooper tires to get the 6 mile from the cabin, could walk, only 1 1/2 miles that way. Cabin is for sale BTW.

The Duratracks that came on my Tundra only lasted about thirty five thousand... not impressed!
That really surprises me...... if I babied em, I could get another 10K, pulled out the paperwork and I put them on with less than 8K and I am a 2 weeks from my 100K service. I have been fanatical about rotation and pressure. (not saying you weren't)
I think I posted earlier I had to lower the pressure at about midlife cause they were wearing in the center at 45psi (lowered to 41lbs)

Wish my Tundra came with them I'd saved $1400 back then!!!!!!!
My tundra came with factory crap tires, still sold them for a couple hundred.

Really debated BFG AT/KO cause I have a rig with almost 65K and they still look new.
